On Sanday 20th June 2021 Graham took on The Lakesman Half which was made up of a 1.2 mile swim in Derwentwater, 56 mile bike ride through the Lake District and finally a 13.1 mile run through Keswick.

Graham chose Hire a Hero as his chosen charity because he wanted to make a difference for Service Leavers and Veterans. 

When you consider that....

48% of Early Service Leavers are unemployed six months after leaving;
91% of the public believe those who have served have been mentally, emotionally or physically damaged
58% of service personnel believe that most employers don’t understand them and won’t give them a chance;

....it is imperative that we change that picture. I honestly believe that the confidence and capability that Hire A Hero gives to service leavers and veterans will create life changing moments for many.

Graham set himself a fundraising target of £3,000, and as donations from him friends and family came flooding in on Sunday Graham hit his target just after completing the half triathlon.
