Outline of Business: Growing technology business in the defence sector

General Description:

· My client a growing technology business in the defence sector, requires a Business Development Director to work closely with the Managing Director with the objective of building a business development team to enhance a portfolio of tier one clients, delivering innovative and secure solutions.

· You will be an effective team player, a problem solver with an entrepreneurial outlook who is able to prioritise and see projects through successfully to completion and within the demands of the client.

Key Responsibilities:

· You will be able to meet the challenge of working closely with a small business to advance business growth alongside developing relationships key customers and defence suppliers.

· You’ll have the scope to be entrepreneurial working alongside the Managing Director to drive further business growth and success, with the goal of establishing and leading a Business Development team in the not so distant future.

Experience:

· You will have demonstrable sector knowledge and/or experience within the Army, Air Force and Royal Navy.

· Have developed new business generation through a strategic and commercially focused approach.

· Develop professional customer facing proposals to support the presentation of commercial and technical offerings to customers.

· Track analyse and report on all leads, opportunities, pipeline and projects to the Managing Director.

· Be self-motivated, with the ability to work effectively with a small team in a manner matching a dynamic and fast-growing technology business.

· Operate as a representative, experienced communicator that can excite senior leaders who are not tech savvy.
