Location: Home-based, with national travel to customer sites

General Description:
Due to growth, we are currently expanding our Professional Services team and are looking for a Citrix Solutions Architect to join us on a permanent basis.

As a permanent member of our team, you will be home-based and have the opportunity to work a range of projects assisting our nationwide customers in the realisation of their strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

· You will take responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data, delivering analysis and problem resolution. Identify, evaluate and recommend options, implementing if required. Collaborate with, and facilitate stakeholder groups, as part of formal or informal consultancy agreements. Seek to fully address client needs, enhancing the capabilities and effectiveness of client personnel, by ensuring that proposed solutions are properly understood and appropriately exploited.

· You will provide leadership and guidelines to promote the development and exploitation of specialist Emerging technology across our business.

· You will co-ordinate the identification and assessment of new and emerging hardware, software and communication technologies, products, methods and techniques. Evaluate likely relevance of these for Roc and provide regular briefings to staff and management.

Expert Citrix Knowledge and a proven IT Engineering/Architecture background

Key Skills:
· Proven experience of leading infrastructure & network engineering design and implementation effort on complex projects, including the planning, tracking and controlling of infrastructure project activities

· Proven experience of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and experience designing, installing, configuring, managing, and troubleshooting complex and large Citrix server farms. Ideally with CCA-V or higher certification

· Proven experience of Citrix NetScaler and experience designing, installing, configuring, managing and troubleshooting physical and virtual NetScaler deployments. Ideally with CCA-N or higher certification.

· Detailed knowledge of IT Networks and hardware components including experience in setting up and administering IT networks

· Strong experience of technically leading complex projects throughout the complete IT lifecycle (Analysis, Architecture, Design, Build, Test & Production)

· Experience in using ITIL in an enterprise environment

· Awareness of project management methodology such as PMP/Prince 2

· Detailed knowledge of network management software and techniques including Active Directory, domain and group policies and virtualisation

· Experience of technically leading projects throughout the complete IT Development Life-cycle from requirements capture to handover and knowledge transfer. The candidate will have a full knowledge of the development/delivery life-cycle of IT infrastructure projects

· The candidate will have the capability to organize and run requirement capture workshops as well as proactively listening to user needs.

· The candidate should be able to lead the customer relationship.

· Disciplined and rigorous approach to network and infrastructure design and ability to ask challenging questions about the requirements and architecture of the infrastructure at each level of the hierarchy

Essential Criteria:
Must be able to work at client sites during the week (team members currently spend on average 2 days per week away from home)
