General Description:
The FDM Ex-Forces Programme is run by ex-service personnel and employs ex-servicemen and women from all ranks and across all three services. The role of the Ex-Forces Recruiter is to recruit suitable candidates for the Ex-Forces Programme, growing the programme and building a pipeline of candidates in order to achieve quarterly recruitment targets.

Our programme has been awarded the gold medal by the MoD’s Employer Recognition Scheme, one of only 33 employers in 2017 to have received this honour.

Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment

· Be the first point of contact with Ex-Forces personnel interested in the FDM Ex-Forces Programme

· Take vacancy details and post job adverts across a range of media outlets

· ‘Headhunting' – find and approach Ex-Forces personnel for specialist jobs

· Match role requirements with Ex-Forces personnel

· Organise and administer internal and external Ex-Forces events

· Represent FDM Group at Ex-Forces career fairs & networking events

· Use social media to attract and educate candidates & promote FDM and the EFP

· Organise Insight events – including booking rooms, booking food & drink

Interviews & Assessments
· Conduct telephone interviews to educate and prepare candidates

· Screen and shortlist candidates

· Initial and ongoing data entry using Jobtrain

· Prepare candidates for assessment appropriately

· Prepare candidate CVs

Team Work
· Build and maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders including but not limited to: Marketing, HR, the Academy, the Account Managers & Sales Team, the Graduate and GB2B Teams

· Build and maintain good relationships with external stakeholders including but not limited to: Partner organisations such as the CTP, BFRS, OA, Military charities, recruitment organisations and the British Military

· Support and assist other members of the EFP

Experience:
· Must have been in the British Military

· Possess a good understanding of IT terminology and skillsets; must be able to translate military experience, IT skills and terminology into civilian language and vice versa

· Ability to work well under pressure and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously

· Excellent organisational and administrative skills

· Excellent communication skills and a professional manner

· Initiative, flexibility and a willingness to learn new skills

· Confidence, a good sense of humor and a team player

Experience and Technical Skills / Professional Qualifications:
Nil - Possess a good understanding of IT terminology and skillsets; must be able to translate military experience, IT skills and terminology into civilian language and vice versa.

Essential Criteria:
Must have served in the British Military
