Job Title: Installation Engineer – multiple roles

Location: Remote and at Customer Sites across the South of England

Salary range: £22,000 - £28,000, depending on experience

General Description:
Roc Technologies has newly created opportunities for a number of Installation Engineers to carry out the day to day installations of copper and fibre optic cabling and associated UPVC and steel containment as directed by the line management.

You will be based at various MOD establishments as well as other potential customer sites, working as part of a team to ensure that high-quality solutions and services are delivered at all times.

As this is working at secure customers sites, valid SC-Clearance is an essential requirement of this role.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Terminate fibre optic cables (cold cure and splicing)

· Terminate copper cabling (Cat5e, Cat6 etc)

· Test fibre and copper cables using Fluke Vetriv Testers

· Install containment systems

· Work as part of a project team within a customer-facing environment

· Demonstrate strong leadership qualities and exceptional communication skills

· Support continuous improvement, striving to deliver outstanding customer solutions

· Be proactive and remain calm under pressure, working within a fast-paced environment

Demonstrable experience in a cabling installations role within a corporate Information Technology environment.

Physical Requirements:
· Candidates must possess valid SC-Clearance and preferably be keen to secure DV-Clearance

Experience and Technical Skills / Professional Qualifications:

· MOD SC Cleared minimum (DV preferred). If only SC must be prepared to work towards getting DV clearance

· Experience of terminating fibre optic cables (cold cure and splicing)

· Experience of terminating copper cabling (Category 5e, category 6 etc)

· Experience of Testing both Fibre optic and copper cables using Fluke Vetriv Testers

· Good knowledge of current installation practices

· Experience in the installation of containment systems (both Steel and PVC)

· Ability to work as part of a close team to high standards of workmanship

· Knowledge of OTDR testing would be an advantage

· Be able to work to agreed drawings

· Knowledge of MOD installation requirements preferred but not essential

· CSCS/ ECS card essential
