Job Title: Live in Security Officer

Live in security person with part time household duties required. You will be responsible for part time cover for the security of a large Country House open to the public near Peterborough. You will also be required to carry out regular household duties at a nearby property. The post requires that you live on site.

· You will be responsible for security and house sitting for, on average, approximately one mid week night per week and up to ten weekends per year.

· You will be required to carry out regular household duties on another nearby property on three mornings per week. The hours will be 8am to 1pm.

· You will also be required to cover when the full-time security person is on holiday or off duty. The hours will be 8am to 5.30pm.

· You will be available to work other hours as needed. This maybe at short notice.

The job requires a responsible person with commitment and who enjoys being part of a small team. A flexible approach is also essential.

The role would suit someone with an early pension, military or police background.

Typical duties would be, but not limited to, security, cleaning cars, walking dogs, clearing and laying fires and bringing up logs, changing light bulbs and general household maintenance.

No formal qualifications are required but the position requires a practical person with a love of dogs.

The individual must be physically fit, trustworthy, honest and be fluent in English.

Start date negotiable to the right candidate.

Non-smoker and Full Driving License essential.

A two-bedroom self-contained onsite flat (no garden) will be provided, council tax included. Utility bills will be the tenant’s responsibility. The property is unfurnished.

Salary by agreement. There will be a base salary with additional hours being paid on an hourly basis.
