Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Location: London (Based from home covering a customer base close to home postcode area)

Job Salary: Starting salary is 24k p/a gross during training period (approx. 6 weeks). Salary increases to 25k after training, as a ‘Junior Engineer’. Once ‘certified’ as a Domex Engineer (4-6 moths after joining), salary moves to 29k+ bonus. An average performing engineer makes circa 33k+ per annum gross.

Outline of Business/Company
Domestic Appliance Repair Company. Based Epsom, covering inner and outer London and parts of the South East.

General Description
To carry out on site repair servicing on domestic kitchen appliances (e.g. washing machines, dishwashers, tumble dryers, cookers, fridges etc) whilst delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
· Attend service calls according to daily schedule

· Communicate with customers and office regarding ongoing repairs, issues, spare parts etc

· Carry out on site diagnostic and servicing repairs within a designated geographic area and in line with Company processes and health & safety polices, taking payment where required

· Collect parts (from storage / royal mail) efficiently, in order to be best prepared for the day’s schedule

· Review and record work details using Company app on Company provided Smart Phone device

· Regularly perform stock check and carry out returns process, according to Company guidelines

· Ensure all tools and equipment are organised and maintained in good working order

· Ensure Company vehicle is kept clean, tidy and road worthy in line with Company policy

· Promote products e.g. cleaning products, water filters, where appropriate and applicable

· Attend Company organised internal / external training as well as annual events and activities e.g. Company Conference

· Work towards achieving the Field Service Key Performance Indicators e.g. customer service, performance, quality audits

Experience
· Hands on experience in a manual trade - electrical or engineering preferred; construction, plumbing, carpentry, mechanical considered

· Solid understanding of electrical and/or electronic principles

· Experience in a similar role and/or industry (e.g. appliance repair, air conditioning, commercial catering etc) advantageous, not essential

· Valid UK driving licence essential, preferably no penalty points

Physical Requirements:
Able to be on knees, pull out appliances etc.

Essential Criteria:
