Job Board Waterproofing Technician / Wiltshire / £27k pa Job Title: Waterproofing Technician Location: Westbury WiltshireSalary: £27,000 pa Summary of RoleThis is a physical role, involving manual labour in the outdoor environment, requiring a good level of health and mobility for both individual and team health and safety reasons. Reporting to the W3 Project Director, a W3 Waterproofing Technician will be responsible for the installation of the specified waterproofing systems to new build projects or remedial works on a construction site. This may involve use of fabric or cement based membranes, or of chemical injection products. The post holder is responsible for working as a team with existing Waterproofing Technicians and with other contractors and labourers on site, as appropriate. Duties and Responsibilities· To work as part of a small team to apply waterproofing materials and injection repair materials as instructed by the Site Supervisor and Project Director · To abide by the policies and procedures of W3 and principal contractors and clients who manage the sites we work on · To undertake all training deemed necessary for the safe and effective execution of your duties · To have a focus on quality, relating not only to the installation of membranes and waterproofing materials, but also in a wider sense, striving for continual improvement · To feed back to the Site Supervisor or Project Director in relation to quality issues and lessons learnt or areas of potential improvement · To report back to the Site Supervisor any equipment or PPE in need of repair or replacement · To take responsibility for your own health and safety, and to be aware of the health and safety of those around you · If required, and dependant on individual circumstances, drive a company vehicle to and from site and transport materials, equipment and other employees. TrainingTraining offered will be dependent on previous experience, and individual need. Site training, including health and safety awareness, will always be offered to all members of the team on both new and existing projects. In house training will be offered to all members of the team when using new equipment or materials. An individual training program will address aspirations for further qualifications and new experiences / skills acquisition.
