The aim is to tailor support to those who need it. Their work with local partners has shown them that they are well placed to identify and help vulnerable people who can at times struggle to engage with the support that is available. The UC Transition Fund will offer grants to partner organisations, including charities, to provide innovative and creative new approaches to supporting our vulnerable customers. DWP particularly welcome applications with a focus on care leavers, prison leavers, homeless people, refugees and people with substance dependency but this list is not exhaustive. Any group who are confident that they can make a difference to vulnerable people’s journey towards work could consider an application. Details on how to apply can be found on gov.uk here: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/local-partnership-opportunities-with-jobcentre-plus Next steps on NHS response to COVID-19: Letter from Sir Simon Stevens and Amanda PritchardThis letter, sent by Sir Simon Stevens and Amanda Pritchard, sets out important actions we are now asking every part of the NHS to put in place to redirect staff and resources, building on multiple actions already in train.
